TalentBurst is seeking a Post Anesthesia Care Unit Registered Nurse for Englewood, Colorado. This onsite contract runs for 13 weeks with a day shift from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, totaling 10 hours per day, four days per week. The unit handles PACU care for postoperative patients and operates at a 17-bed facility.

Compensation includes a weekly pay of $2,151, with stipends and base pay components. BLS and ACLS are required, and PACU experience is essential for consideration.

• Number of Beds - 17 pre/post bays
• Number of Staff - 3 FT staff and 1 PT staff
• Type of staff:
• Day Shift - They are all Day shift, we use PRN staff to help our core staffing currently
• Night Shift -
• Patient Ratios - Pre-Op 1:2, PACU Phase 1 is 1:1 and Phase 2 is 2:2
• Type of equipment - Stretchers, Blood glucose, Monitors, BP, Pyxis machines
• EMR - Meditech
• Typical hiring profile
• Skill Set Most recruited for: (Travel RNs, local CNAs and sitters)
• Must have: candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role.
• Minimum 1-year current PACU experience
• BLS & ACLS
• Preferred or nice to have: candidates with these skills will be considered first.
• Knowledge of PT/OT instructions for Joint patients
• Comfortable with bedside teaching
• List typical procedures performed on unit(s):
• Total joint procedures, Sports Med, Foot/Ankle, some Podiatry, hand and nerve cases
• General surgery (Hernias, Lap appy, Lap chole cases primarily), Breast cases with some plastic reconstruction (mastectomy with tissue expanders or direct to implant cases).
