Legacy Healthcare in Westmont, IL is seeking an experienced Director of Nursing (DON) to lead the nursing department and drive high-quality resident care.

You will oversee staffing, regulatory compliance, QAPI initiatives, and collaborate with the Administrator and interdisciplinary team to create a positive culture of care.

The ideal candidate is hands-on, visible, and committed to staff development, resident outcomes, and continuous improvement.

Formación

• Current RN license in good standing.
• Experience in Director of Nursing or senior nursing leadership.
• Skilled nursing/long-term care/post-acute experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of SNF regulations and surveys.
• Proven leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to recruit, develop, motivate, and retain nursing staff.

Responsabilidades

• Provide leadership and direction to the nursing department.
• Oversee daily nursing operations and resident care.
• Lead and support RNs, LPNs/LVNs, CNAs, and nursing leadership.
• Establish clinical and performance expectations.
• Monitor resident care and clinical outcomes.
• Maintain visibility through rounds and collaboration with leadership.
• Ensure compliance and survey readiness.
• Develop and monitor nursing policies and procedures.
• Oversee care planning and interdisciplinary collaboration.
• Partner with MDS, therapy, dietary, social services, and physicians.
• Lead QAPI initiatives and infection prevention efforts.
