Job summary

Lutheran Social Service of Minnesota is seeking a Positive Support Specialist (PSS) for our Intensive Community Residential Services in Rosemount, MN. The role involves helping individuals with complex medical, behavioral, and mental health needs through a person-centered approach, focusing on meaningful daily activities.

The position is part-time and on-site, with a $1,000 hiring bonus and comprehensive benefits. Training is provided, and opportunities for growth exist within the organization.

Qualifications

• Minimum education is a high school diploma; degree in a relevant field preferred.
• 1–2 years of experience with people with complex needs; 3–5 years preferred.
• Must pass BCA background check and have a valid driver's license with MVR required.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to assist individuals in home and community.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals to become more independent in life skills.
• Advocate for rights, medical care, and community involvement.
• Complete documentation and record-keeping each shift.
• Manage crisis situations safely; training provided.
• Engage in trauma-informed care daily.
