Job summary

Lutheran Social Service of Minnesota is hiring a Positive Support Specialist (PSS) for our Intensive Community Residential Services in Rosemount, MN. This part-time, on-site role focuses on helping individuals reach personal goals in a safe, supportive environment.

As a PSS, you will assist with daily living skills, advocate for residents, and document shifts. Training for behavioral supports and crisis management is provided, with a strong emphasis on trauma-informed care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; degree in a relevant field preferred.
• 1–2 years with people with complex needs; 3–5 years preferred.
• Must pass BCA background check and have a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals to be more independent in essential life skills.
• Advocate for rights and medical care in the community.
• Complete documentation and record-keeping every shift.
• Assist with crisis situations safely; training provided.
• Engage in trauma-informed care daily.
