Job summary

Community Services Group (CSG) seeks a Behavioral Services Specialist to design and implement positive behavioral support plans for individuals with developmental disabilities. The role collaborates with staff to ensure rights and high-quality behavioral support through self-determination and trauma-informed approaches.

Responsibilities include conducting FBA, monitoring progress, and leading staff training, while maintaining thorough documentation in line with regulations and policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related field as specified.
• Direct experience with individuals with mental illness or IDD required or two years post-master’s experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments (FBA) using indirect and direct methods.
• Monitor progress via on-site visits, data collection, and assessments.
• Develop data-driven Behavior Support Plans (BSP) using positive and least restrictive strategies.
• Design environmental modifications and replacement skills.
• Collaborate on service or treatment plan goals.
• Review plans with program staff and revise as needs change.
• Lead staff training on behavioral support techniques.
• Maintain compliant documentation.
