Job summary

Allegheny Community Home Care is seeking a Behavioral Specialist to develop individualized Behavior Support Plans based on Functional Behavior Assessments and to apply evidence-based behavioral interventions across programs.

You will collaborate with staff, document progress, and provide crisis management and staff training while maintaining person-centered care and a strong commitment to independent living for individuals served.

Qualifications

• Master's degree preferred in social sciences or related field.
• Bachelor's degree required in a similar discipline.
• Licensure/certification in BCBA, NCC, CPRP or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop Behavior Support Plans using FBAs with program staff.
• Design Positive Behavior Support plans with prevention and intervention strategies.
• Document progress and evaluate effectiveness of interventions.
• Provide crisis management and clinical consultation as needed.
• Train staff on behavioral management plans and documentation.
• Collaborate with the team to promote independence for individuals.
