Job summary

Becton, Dickinson and Company (BD) is seeking a Fillroom operator to work in a clean room, oversee Posiflush syringe production, perform quality checks, and maintain GMP compliance. The role requires reading/writing in English, teamwork, and adherence to safety and BD values.

Responsibilities include operating equipment, monitoring quality, performing changeovers, and keeping the area tidy while ensuring accurate data recording.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred; three years manufacturing experience if no diploma.
• Ability to read, write and converse in English.
• Detail-oriented with strong documentation and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate Fillroom equipment and monitor product quality to GMP standards.
• Make adjustments to equipment to maintain quality and productivity.
• Perform changeovers and assist line technicians with repairs.
• Maintain clean, organized work area and document data accurately.
• Collaborate with utilities/scheduling to manage inventory levels.
• Support team to develop efficient task methods.

Position Summary:

The Fillroom operator will work in a clean room and produce Posiflush syringes by overseeing their machine, doing quality checks, cleaning their area and working together with the team to manufacture quality product at the specified rate. Ensures compliance with BD quality systems, policies, procedures and best practices, and all local, state, federal and BD safety regulations, policies and procedures. Regular, punctual attendance is an essential job function. Ability to read and write and converse in English. Willing and able to uphold BD Values.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Perform all tasks in assigned operations listed below and operate all respective equipment at a rate equal to or above established standards while maintaining all quality and GMP standards.
• Continually monitor operations for product quality and equipment performance
• Make adjustments to equipment as needed to maintain process quality and productivity.
• Perform or assist with product or equipment changeovers.
• Assist line technicians with equipment repair or trouble shooting.
• Keep machinery, work area and floors neat and orderly and follow GMP requirements.
• Perform quality inspections, process tests and record data accurately as required.
• Communicate with utilities or department scheduling group to maintain minimal material inventory levels.
• Work as team member to develop optimal task methods.
• Other duties as required to support the needs of the business.

Education:

• High School diploma/GED preferred
• In lieu of High School diploma/GED, three years manufacturing experience is required.
