Job summary

BD, a global medical technology leader, is seeking a Fillroom operator to work in a clean room and oversee Posiflush syringe production with emphasis on quality and safety. The role requires operating equipment at or above standard, performing quality checks, and adhering to BD quality systems and GMP requirements.

Ideal candidates will have a High School diploma or GED (or three years manufacturing experience) and the ability to read, write, and communicate in English.

• General organization skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Operate filling/packaging lines at required rate with GMP compliance.
• Monitor product quality and equipment performance.
• Adjust equipment to maintain quality and productivity.
• Perform or assist with changeovers of products/equipment.
• Support line technicians with repairs/troubleshooting.
• Maintain clean, orderly work area per GMP.
• Record data and conduct quality inspections as required.
• Coordinate with utilities/scheduling to manage inventory.

Position Summary

The Fillroom operator will work in a clean room and produce Posiflush syringes by overseeing their machine, doing quality checks, cleaning their area and working together with the team to manufacture quality product at the specified rate. Ensures compliance with BD quality systems, policies, procedures and best practices, and all local, state, federal and BD safety regulations, policies and procedures. Regular, punctual attendance is an essential job function. Ability to read and write and converse in English. Willing and able to uphold BD Values.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Perform all tasks in assigned operations listed below and operate all respective equipment at a rate equal to or above established standards while maintaining all quality and GMP standards.
• Continually monitor operations for product quality and equipment performance
• Make adjustments to equipment as needed to maintain process quality and productivity.
• Perform or assist with product or equipment changeovers.
• Assist line technicians with equipment repair or trouble shooting.
• Keep machinery, work area and floors neat and orderly and follow GMP requirements.
• Perform quality inspections, process tests and record data accurately as required.
• Communicate with utilities or department scheduling group to maintain minimal material inventory levels.
• Work as team member to develop optimal task methods.
• Other duties as required to support the needs of the business

Education

• High School diploma/GED preferred
• In lieu of High School diploma/GED, three years manufacturing experience is required
