Job summary

Three Bears Alaska is seeking a dedicated POS/Receiving Clerk to maintain accurate pricing, communicate new items and deals to pricing, and assist the Store Manager in day-to-day store operations.

The role involves back‑door product checks, processing invoices and receivers, using POS software to input receiving and print price changes, and guarding back‑room security. Evening, weekends, and holidays are required; starting pay is $16.00/hr DOE with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• 2 years retail experience preferred.
• Customer service, math and computer skills preferred.

Role Description

POS/Receiving Clerk maintains accurate pricing throughout the store, conveys information on new items and deals to corporate for pricing. Checks in and verifies all products through the back door. Assist and assume duties of POS in absence of POS/Receiving PIC.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Prints and replaces pricing signage from batches or manual lists.
• Uses electronic device to scan and verify pricing, taking corrective action when needed.
• Checks in product at the back door and produces receivers to verify pricing.
• Uses fax machine to send all invoices, receiving logs, and receivers to corporate pricing.
• Verifies and signs Bill of Lading for freight received.
• Tracks purchases on receiving log and conveys that information to the Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager.
• Uses computer and POS software to input receiving, print price changes, print signs, and verify correct pricing.
• Using vendor invoices, compiles pertinent information including description, case cost, case quantity, vendor, size, department and sub department for submittal to corporate pricing.
• Ensures that all price change batches are complete and accurate.
• Prints a list of ending TPR's for Store Manager to review for extension or removal.
• Ensures security of back-room product and that only authorized personnel enter the back room.
• Creates batches or lists at the direction of Corporate Office, Store Manager, or Assistant Store Manager for purposes of price maintenance or special projects.

Experience/Education:

• A High School Diploma or GED is preferred.

Pay Range:

Starting at $16.00/hr (DOE)

Working Environment

Work is performed in a store setting with ability to speak and receive phone communications often. Work requires computer usage with strength, dexterity, coordination and visual acuity to use keyboard and video display terminal and other office equipment. Continuously standing, walking, reaching at/below shoulders, frequently lift/carry up to 10 pounds below waist, up to 50 pounds at waist/chest and occasional lifting of up to 20 pounds above shoulders.
