Job summary

Churchill Downs Incorporated-affiliated Colonial Downs Group seeks a friendly Team Member to handle cash register transactions, operate POS systems, and provide attentive service to guests in a fast-paced setting at Colonial Downs Virginia.

Responsibilities include greeting guests, processing payments, stocking, maintaining cleanliness, and promoting loyalty programs, with safety and sanitation standards, and eligibility for the Rosie’s venues.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work under stress in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic math skills and proficiency with POS systems.
• Strong communication and guest service skills to interact efficiently with guests.
• Basic knowledge of menu items and guest service.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests on arrival and at departure in a warm and inviting manner.
• Check cashier supplies and ensure enough for the shift.
• Operate POS systems to process sales transactions accurately.
• Prepare and sell all menu items and handle all monetary transactions.
• Ensure accuracy in computing the bill and provide receipts.
• Close register at end of shift and complete paperwork.
• Promote loyalty programs and venue offers to boost guest engagement.
• Restock shelves and keep workstation clean and orderly.
• Return cash to main bank and file shift checkout notes.
• Sanitize equipment and maintain knowledge of menus and prices.
