Under the general supervision of the Director of Forensic Services or designee, the Lead Forensic Case Manager provides direct services, coordination, and operational support for individuals involved with criminal justice and forensic behavioral health systems.
This position serves as a working lead for assigned forensic activities and coordinates services among Center for Life Resources staff, jails, Community Supervision and Corrections Departments (CSCD), courts, other Local Mental Health Authorities (LMHAs), and community partners.
Primary responsibilities include coordinating daily Jail Match activities, assigning and monitoring follow-up, facilitating continuity-of-care coordination with other LMHAs, and providing jail-based screening when needed.
The position also oversees identified forensic cases involving CSCD, bond conditions, and Not Guilty by Reason of Insanity (NGRI) proceedings through supplemental client contact, monitoring barriers or changes in stability, coordinating with case managers and participating in case reviews or treatment planning.
Role will also track court-related requirements, assist with court or supervision update provision, as well as stakeholder communications.
The position provides coordination and support to staff managing forensic cases, works to identify unresolved needs or concerns for forensic purposes, completes related documentation, field-based services, and other forensic initiatives as assigned.
