Lewis & Clark College seeks Learning Guides to facilitate K-12 gallery visits at the Portland Art Museum. You will lead small groups, encourage inclusive dialogue, and support a student-centered learning environment off-campus.

Learning Guides facilitate experiences at the Portland Art Museum for K-12 students during class visits. They create a welcoming, inclusive environment where students of all ages feel a sense of belonging and know their voices are valued. Learning Guides engage groups of 8 - 12 students in close looking, discussion, and activities with 3 - 5 artworks for about 45 minutes. These participant-driven experiences foster curiosity, exploration, self-reflection, and open-ended inquiry (and fun!). This role is off-campus, reliable transportation is required.
8-10 hours per week Wednesday and Friday 9:30am - 1:30pm plus Plus 2hrs weekly for research/prep
$16.80 per hour
