Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum of five (5) years of experience in Banking with emphasis on credit.
• Prior underwriting experience required.
• Formal credit training required.
• Ability to analyze financial and tax returns.
• Knowledge of loan structure processes and lending regulations.
• Strong loan documentation knowledge.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Oversee credit and monitoring of portfolio risks.
• Grow fees, deposits, and portfolio revenue with account officers.
• Conduct preliminary underwriting of loan proposals.
• Support meeting and achievement of volume/production goals.
• Recommend changes to lending policies to meet market needs.
• Manage full cycle of loan requests: data gathering, term sheets, proposals.
• Coordinate appraisals, environmental reports, ensuring compliance.
• Identify concerns and discuss with account officers.
• Liaise with Credit Department on loans and risk ratings.
• Coordinate information flow between client and internal teams.
• Finalize loan closings and oversee renewals and covenants.
• Track loan documentation and financial statement exceptions.
• Collaborate with Account Officers on maturing loans and new opportunities.
• Monitor delinquent accounts and report activity.
• Generate reports for the loan portfolio as needed.
• Participate in sales calls and external events for business development.
