Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in finance, accounting, economics and/or business (required)
• Master's Degree MBA (preferred)
• Minimum 5 years of commercial underwriting, credit, banking and/or financial services experience (required)
• Competent with Microsoft Office and ability to learn other tech tools (required)
• Demonstrated competence in financial analysis and modeling (required)
• Knowledge of credit agreements and banking products (required)
• Strong presentation and communication skills (required)
• Ability to multi-task, manage time and work independently (required)

Responsibilities

• Gather and analyze financial data for high-value clients and prospects
• Model future financial performance, including downside scenarios
• Lead discussions with clients during negotiations and manage deal execution
• Perform enhanced cash flow due diligence in specialized groups
• Prepare thorough credit underwriting documents with risks and mitigants
• Ensure compliance with KYC, Patriot Act/OFAC checks and ownership verification
• Manage approval process for complex lending commitments, amendments, waivers, and consents
• Review and maintain legal documentation to reflect approvals
• Monitor portfolio performance and covenant compliance to minimize losses
• Identify potential problem accounts and coordinate with Asset Recovery
• Establish direct client relationships and participate in management meetings
• Provide guidance to Analysts and Associates; respond to ad hoc data requests
• Comply with KeyBank policies and professional conduct
