Job summary

Otsuka Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. seeks a senior Program Manager to lead cross-functional asset strategy and program planning across R&D and Commercial teams.

You will coordinate global inputs, align budgets with timelines, and guide asset reviews through stage gates from IND initiation to product lifecycle management. Responsibilities include mentoring PM staff, driving portfolio-level forecasting, and leveraging design thinking with project management to enable development staff and alliance

Qualifications

• Extensive experience of drug development process and interdependencies of activities.
• 3 years of managerial or supervision experience supporting R&D.
• Strong understanding of science, therapeutic area and commercial landscape.
• Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision in cross-functional teams.
• Proven ability to influence others and manage stakeholder relationships.
• Experience with budget management and resource planning.

Responsibilities

• Drive cross-functional asset strategy development and program planning in partnership with R&D and Commercial.
• Coordinate global contributions from Affiliates to Development and Commercialization Plans.
• Manage and track progress against plans and communicate with senior management.
• Foster global asset teams and navigate governance, stage gates, and reviews.
• Provide coaching to junior asset managers and onboard new staff.
• Develop and maintain standard practices and tools for milestones and metrics.
