Job summary

Scorpion Therapeutics in the United States is seeking a senior-level Asset Strategy Manager to drive cross-functional collaboration and translate interconnected strategies into asset-level direction. You will partner with R&D, commercial, and operations to align timelines, budgets, and governance with enterprise objectives.

The role acts as the asset COO, synthesizing inputs into decisions, coaching PMs, and boosting governance narratives.

Qualifications

• 4–6+ years in pharma/biotech across R&D, commercial, PM or operations.
• Experience supporting cross-functional teams (Program Management, Commercial, Development, Regulatory, Operations).
• Strong strategic thinking, leadership and communication skills.
• Demonstrated knowledge of pharma program management.
• Late-stage drug development experience preferred.
• Experience with global teams.

Responsibilities

• Drive cross-functional Asset Strategy Team effectiveness by translating interconnected strategies into asset-level direction and execution aligned to enterprise and therapeutic/disease objectives.
• Identify, communicate, and manage asset/disease risks; ensure timely reporting and support timelines with planning.
• Act as the asset COO, synthesizing cross-functional inputs into aligned decisions and actions.
• Enable the Asset Team by optimizing performance, streamlining communications, and developing governance narratives.
• Coach/mentor Deliverable Team PMs and Project Planners; build capability in PM practices.
• Translate strategies into integrated evidence plans across sub-teams and governance.
• Partner to ensure strategy-linked timelines, milestones, reporting, and portfolio tradeoffs using scenario analysis/analytics.
• Prepare materials and strategic storyboards for strategy-focused governance reviews.
• Serve as source of truth for the asset across timelines, deliverables, budgets, and cross-functional connectivity.

• Proactively identify, communicate, and manage asset/disease risks and mitigation plans; ensure timely, accurate reporting and support development of timelines with planning.
• Act as the asset “COO,” serving as strategic thought partner by synthesizing cross-functional inputs into aligned decisions and actions.
• Enable the Asset Team by optimizing team performance, streamlining communications, and developing strategic narratives for governance forums.
• Coach/mentor Deliverable Team PMs (DTPMs) and Project Planners; build capability and consistency in PM practices.
• Translate strategies into integrated evidence plans across sub-teams and governance.
• Partner to ensure strategy-linked timelines, milestones, reporting, and portfolio tradeoff discussions using scenario analysis/analytics.
• Prepare materials and strategic storyboards for strategy-focused governance reviews.
• Serve as “source of truth” for the asset across timelines, deliverables, budgets, and cross-functional connectivity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (scientific, business, or technical preferred).
• 4–6+ years in pharma/biotech across R&D, commercial, project management, or operations; expertise in one or more therapeutic areas.
• 3+ years supporting cross-functional teams in core function (Program Management, Commercial, Development, Regulatory, Operations).
• Demonstrated strategic thinking, leadership, and strategic communication; strong written/verbal skills.
• Demonstrated knowledge of pharma program management.
• Preferred: late-stage drug development experience (launch team).
• Experience with global teams.
