Responsibilities

Job description

Our client, a financial technology company serving wealth management firms and financial advisors, is hiring a Portfolio Reporting & Data Analyst for its Stamford, CT office. The role sits at the intersection of finance and technology: you'll configure and maintain the reporting platforms clients rely on, reconcile and analyze portfolio data, and act as a day-to-day point of contact for client data and reporting issues.

Location: Stamford, CT

Compensation: $80,000 to $95,000

What You'll Do

• Reconcile accounts, researching and resolving breaks, cancels and corrects
• Analyze portfolio performance results and explain them to clients
• Review private equity and hedge fund statements and input the data into the reporting system
• Set up and configure new clients, accounts and assets, including asset classification
• Support client onboarding, training and ongoing issue management
• Build custom reports to meet client-specific needs
• Help manage data feeds and work with vendor partners on system issues, data issues and enhancements
• Contribute to the procedures and controls that keep the team running effectively

What We're Looking For

• 2+ years of experience in performance or data analysis, financial analysis, fund administration, client service with a reporting focus, or a finance, operations or implementation role
• Strong understanding of financial instruments, including equities, bonds, ETFs, mutual funds, SMAs/UMAs and alternative investments
• Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills, and the ability to pick up new software quickly
• Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines
• Clear written and verbal communicator who works well both on a team and independently

Preferred

• Experience with a wealth management reporting platform (Addepar, Orion, or Black Diamond, would be ideal)
• Experience with client service for RIAs or wealth management and with wirehouses or custodians
• Familiarity with performance reporting calculations, portfolio management and rebalancing
• Understanding of how family offices, RIAs and investment advisors operate
• Exposure to planning tools such as eMoney or MoneyGuidePro
• Basic knowledge of databases or programming
