Job summary

SunStrong Management LLC is seeking an Operations Manager to lead a renewable asset portfolio, including solar, BESS, wind, and EV infrastructure. You will own performance, reliability, and financial results by guiding Portfolio Managers and coordinating Field Service Providers.

The role emphasizes measurable improvements in PI, availability, response times, and ROI, with accountability for recovery plans when performance lags. Remote-friendly with travel to sites.

Qualifications

• Ten+ years of experience in solar, BESS, or renewable energy operations.
• Proven leadership experience managing high-performance teams.
• Deep expertise in solar and BESS systems, OEMs, warranties, and RMAs.
• Strong understanding of PI, availability, and performance drivers.
• Experience managing third-party O&M providers at scale.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or related field, or equivalent demonstrated experience.
• Experience onboarding portfolios from EPCs/owners/previous O&M providers.
• Familiarity with monitoring, CMMS, and BI platforms (PowerTrack, Maximo, Power BI).

Responsibilities

• Own the performance of the portfolio and direct reports.
• Set KPIs tied to production, availability, and financial outcomes.
• Enforce execution across Field Service Providers with accountability.
• Translate underperformance into actionable recovery plans with timelines.
• Ensure issues move from identification to root cause to resolution.
• Lead onboarding and transitions with full operational control from day one.
