Bank of Marin in Rancho Cordova, CA is seeking a Portfolio Manager III to lead complex commercial lending relationships. You will analyze credit opportunities, structure loan solutions, monitor portfolio quality, and support Relationship Managers.

You will mentor junior Portfolio Managers and Credit Analysts while delivering exceptional client service. Required is a Bachelor's degree and 5–7 years in commercial banking or credit analysis, with strong financial analysis and underwriting

ThePortfolio Manager IIIis responsible for managing complex commercial lending relationships and supporting the underwriting, maintenance, and risk management of an assigned loan portfolio. This position serves as a key partner to Relationship Managers and works independently to analyze credit opportunities, structure loan solutions, and ensure the ongoing quality of the portfolio. The Portfolio Manager III also provides guidance and support to junior Portfolio Managers and Credit Analysts while delivering exceptional client service and identifying opportunities to grow existing banking relationships.

• Manage commercial loans from application through underwriting, approval, documentation, and closing.
• Analyze borrower financial information and structure appropriate credit solutions.
• Partner with Relationship Managers, Credit Analysts, and Credit Administration to support new and existing client relationships.
• Monitor assigned loan portfolios for credit quality, covenant compliance, maturities, renewals, and exceptions.
• Prepare loan proposals, renewal requests, and related credit documentation.
• Process loan advances and draw requests in accordance with approved loan terms.
• Respond to client inquiries and provide timely, professional service.
• Identify opportunities to deepen client relationships through additional banking products and services.
• Review larger and more complex credit requests and loan structures.
• Provide guidance, training, and mentoring to Portfolio Manager I, Portfolio Manager II, and Credit Analyst positions.

Professional / Educational Experience:

Bachelor's degree (B.A.) in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Minimum 5 - 7 years of commercial banking, credit analysis, underwriting, or portfolio management experience.

Strong knowledge of financial statement analysis, commercial credit underwriting, and complex loan structures required. Candidates should possess excellent analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills, along with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Experience with commercial loan documentation, portfolio management, and mentoring junior staff preferred.

The hiring pay range for this position is $116,582 - $163,216. In addition to the pay range listed, all bank positions are eligible for incentive compensation, which varies based on role. The pay rate for a successful applicant depends on a variety of factors including but not limited to geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level.
