Job summary

Woodforest National Bank is seeking a Portfolio Manager II in Texas to participate in underwriting and ongoing portfolio management of credit facilities. You will review loan analyses, coordinate with credit analysts, and prepare narratives.

The role requires 3–10 years in portfolio management, a bachelor’s in accounting/finance, strong analytical and communication skills, and the ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced banking environment.

Qualifications

• 3-10 years’ experience as a portfolio manager or comparable experience.
• Knowledge of business development/marketing and the loan application process.
• Experience in handling and processing commercial loan packages.
• Underwriting, evaluation of loans, and preparation of loan summaries.

Responsibilities

• Advises Relationship Managers and Credit Administration on credit risks, policies, and related topics.
• Compiles and reviews guarantor and borrower financial history and current condition.
• Oversees spreading of financial statements and tax returns; conducts risk and profitability analyses.
• Prepares underwriting packages and communicates results in a written narrative.
• Monitors pipeline and department reports; communicates status to managers.
