Job summary

Exchange Traded Concepts, LLC is seeking a Portfolio Manager to join its trading and portfolio management team near New York. You will manage day-to-day portfolio construction, rebalancing, and trade execution for client ETFs, while building tools to automate workflows.

You will leverage Python to create trading utilities, monitor risk, and work with multiple internal teams to scale operations and launches. A strong quant background and FINRA licensing are valued.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a portfolio manager, trader, or similar role managing ETFs, index funds, or systematic strategies.
• Proven trading experience across equities and/or fixed income with ETF creation/redemption knowledge.
• Coding proficiency (Python) with experience building trading tools, automation, or data pipelines.
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills across PM systems and OMS.
• Series 7/63 license or ability to obtain; FINRA background a plus.
• Self-starter mindset in a fast-paced, multi-client environment.

The Role

ETC is looking for a Portfolio Manager to join our trading and portfolio management team. This is a hands‑on role for someone who lives at the intersection of markets and code — comfortable managing live risk on a trading desk and building the tools that make that trading smarter, faster, and more scalable. You’ll manage day‑to‑day portfolio construction, rebalancing, and trade execution as part of a team covering a diverse book of client ETFs, while also contributing to the automation and systems that run our trading operation.

What You’ll Do

• As part of the Portfolio Management Team, manage portfolio construction, creation/redemption activity, and daily rebalancing for a range of client ETF mandates
• Execute and oversee trading, managing risk, tracking error, and liquidity considerations in real time
• Build and maintain internal tools, scripts, and models (Python and/or similar) to automate portfolio and trading workflows, reporting, and analytics
• Partner with index providers, authorized participants, and clients to ensure funds track their benchmarks efficiently
• Monitor market conditions and proactively identify trading and operational risks
• Collaborate with Operations, Compliance, Legal, and Technology teams to enhance trading systems and controls
• Support new fund launches, including trading setup, testing, and go‑live coordination

What You Bring

• 5+ years of experience as a portfolio manager, trader, or similar role managing ETFs, index funds, or systematic strategies
• Proven trading experience across equities and/or fixed income, with a solid understanding of ETF creation/redemption mechanics and market microstructure
• Coding proficiency (Python strongly preferred) with experience building trading tools, automation, or data analysis pipelines
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills, with comfort working across portfolio management systems and order management platforms
• Series 7/63 or ability to obtain; FINRA licensing background a plus
• A self‑starter mindset — thrives in a fast‑paced, entrepreneurial environment supporting multiple clients and strategies simultaneously

Salary Range: $150,000-$225,000
