Job summary

Bankwell Financial Group is seeking a Portfolio Manager to support the Private Client Team in managing CRE and C&I client relationships and loan portfolios. You will provide oversight of lending relationships with a focus on accuracy, service, and cross-selling opportunities.

The role requires at least 5 years in CRE banking, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work under tight deadlines in a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• 5+ years CRE commercial banking experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Knowledge of credit products and regulatory requirements.
• Strong analytical skills to evaluate credit and financial issues.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Support Private Client Team with managing loan and depository relationships.
• Analyze and review financial information to assess creditworthiness.
• Spread financial statements and prepare financial models.
• Monitor credit performance and escalate issues as needed.
• Prepare credit and loan documentation with supporting data.
• Collect financial statements from borrowers and guarantors.
• Track covenants and non-performing loans as applicable.
• Review loan files for risk ratings and documentation.
• Participate in client meetings and cross-sell bank products.
• Contribute to special projects as needed.
