AvalonBay Communities, Inc. is seeking a Portfolio Maintenance Manager in Florida to oversee maintenance operations across multiple communities. You will lead on-site maintenance managers, drive performance, and ensure high standards of resident service and safety.

Responsibilities include budgeting, vendor management, and implementation of preventive maintenance programs across 3 communities. Strong leadership and regulatory compliance are essential for success.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of multi-site maintenance management experience.
• Experience supervising maintenance teams and staff.
• Certifications in HVAC, electrical, plumbing or fire systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Act as regional leader, partnering with Community Managers and other departments to improve associate and resident satisfaction.
• Lead and develop on-site Maintenance Managers and teams with coaching and performance feedback.
• Prepare, manage and monitor operating budgets for assigned communities and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Oversee preventative maintenance programs, vendor contracts and service provider performance.
• Support community teams in resolving maintenance-related resident concerns and conduct regular inspections.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state and local regulations including OSHA and building codes.
