Job summary

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is seeking a Portfolio Director for Identity and Access Management in Riverton, UT. This role leads a global IAM program, balancing strong security with a user-friendly experience to enable Church missions.

You will drive strategy, governance, and delivery across a complex technology stack, collaborating with security, product, and IT leadership to ensure compliant, scalable access services worldwide.

Qualifications

• Bachelors or equivalent in a related field.
• 10+ years of senior tech leadership, incl. large program delivery.
• 5+ years in IAM/cybersecurity within a large enterprise.
• Identity as control plane for security, compliance and ops.
• Balance strong security with user experience.
• Experience securing privileged credentials and admin accounts.
• Executive communication and stakeholder management.
• Ability to align IAM with audit, privacy and regulatory needs.
• Experience with IAM roadmaps, policies, and target architectures.
• Ability to manage identities across workforce, members, partners, apps and machines.

Responsibilities

• Lead IAM strategy, governance, and delivery of services worldwide.
• Partner with CISO to align IAM with security strategy and Zero Trust.
• Own global sign-in experience for millions of users.
• Ensure high availability and disaster recovery for 24/7 service.
• Lead responses to identity threats in coordination with security ops.
• Ensure compliance with global privacy and data policies.
• Manage IAM vendor relationships, contracts, and roadmaps.
• Collaborate across portfolios to support organizational goals.
• Develop a high performing workforce with accountable culture.
• Oversee hiring/firing decisions in partnership with HR.
