Position Overview

We are seeking a Portfolio Consulting Manager to lead a new Power Technologies International (PTI) team, providing advanced technical consulting services to Utilities, Regional Transmission Organizations, and energy asset owners.

This is a remote position located in the contiguous U.S.

Responsibilities

1. Expand Siemens PTI’s consulting business in power grid analysis, system dynamics, transients, interconnection, and grid code compliance.
2. Maintain client relationships to ensure satisfaction and identify new business opportunities.
3. Lead proposal development in response to RFPs and inquiries.
4. Manage project execution, tracking progress and adjusting to maintain scope, schedule, budget, and quality.
5. Lead, manage, and develop a team of consultants, setting expectations, providing feedback, and mentoring.
6. Collaborate with other Siemens Business Units for comprehensive customer engagement.

Minimum Requirements

1. Bachelor’s or postgraduate degree in Electrical Engineering, specializing in Power and Energy Systems.
2. Proven experience in power systems analysis for utilities, ISOs, RTOs, or developers.
3. Experience leading and developing teams.
4. Knowledge of grid simulation software (e.g., PSSE, TARA, PSLF, PowerWorld, PSCAD).
5. Understanding of NERC Reliability Standards and regional planning criteria.
6. Strong communication, presentation, and technical report writing skills.
7. Ability to travel domestically and internationally (10%).

Preferred Qualifications

1. At least 10 years of relevant power systems analysis experience.
2. At least 2 years of team management or development experience.
3. Previous consulting experience.
4. Experience in MISO and/or SPP regions.
