Job summary

Eastman, a global specialty materials company headquartered in Kingsport, TN, seeks a Portfolio Construction Manager to lead the execution of a portfolio of capital projects. Qualifications

• Leadership in large organizations.
• Strong understanding of scope, cost, schedule, risk, and quality management.
• Experience managing contractors and multidisciplinary construction teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Construction Management, Business, or related discipline is preferred but not required.
• Minimum 8 years of industrial construction or capital project experience.
• Minimum 5 years leading field construction execution.

Responsibilities

• Manage capital project execution for a portfolio of projects.
• Develop and execute construction strategies supporting project objectives.
• Lead site construction from mobilization through turnover.
• Coordinate construction sequencing and execution planning.
• Lead routine construction review meetings.
• Proactively address risks impacting cost, schedule, safety, and quality.
• Champion safety and environmental stewardship in line with OSHA and Eastman SOPs.
• Coordinate workforce planning and resource loading.
• Monitor cost, schedule, productivity, and earned value metrics.
• Coordinate with EPCOM stakeholders and communicate projections, risks, and execution strategies.
• Ensure compliance with specifications and codes; lead resolution of quality deficiencies.
• Manage permits, change orders, contracts, and execution plans; participate in benchmarking and continuous improvement.
• Lead mechanical completion and turnover; coordinate punch lists and closeout; support commissioning and startup activities.
