Job summary

CEDAC is seeking a Portfolio Associate to join its Finance and Operations team in Massachusetts. This role offers a meaningful path to develop loan servicing and asset management skills within the affordable housing field for a leading Massachusetts organization.

The Portfolio Associate supports senior management with asset management, monitors loan portfolios, and assists with related tasks across multiple loan products, with a hybrid home/office work model.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field is required.
• 2 years of experience in real estate development, loan portfolio management, housing, or economic development; a Master's may substitute for one year.
• Strong results-orientation with planning, strategy, and timelines.
• Effective written and oral communication.
• Advanced collaboration across diverse teams.
• Advanced proficiency with Windows-based software applications.

Responsibilities

• Loan servicing and asset management support for the organization.
• Receive and process asset management requests, including refinancing and loan modifications.
• Monitor maturity dates for state loans and coordinate extensions and due diligence.
• Review borrower requests for complete documentation and communicate any gaps.
• Maintain summary reports of outstanding requests and documentation.
• Assist project managers and senior staff with borrower requests processing.
• Assist with monitoring and compliance for the loan portfolio.
• Provide grant closing support and update the lending database.
• Attend program and department meetings to foster collaboration.
