Job summary

Harris Associates L.P. in Chicago is seeking a Portfolio Accounting Associate to maintain portfolio accounting data integrity, manage cash flows, and oversee outsourced reconciliations. You will coordinate month-end ABOR closes and interact with internal teams and external custodians.

The role requires a control-oriented mindset, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities with integrity. A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2–4 years of experience in investment management or related role.
• Familiarity with mutual funds, ETF, or separate account structures.
• Experience reconciling cash, positions, and/or security-level data.
• Experience overseeing outsourced service providers or third-party administrators.

Responsibilities

• Process client-directed cash flows and account activity across trading and accounting systems.
• Review daily cash flow control reports and take appropriate actions.
• Oversee outsourced provider reconciliations and drive timely resolution of discrepancies.
• Lead month-end ABOR books close with cross-team coordination.
• Monitor ETF basket positions and report on outsourced provider KPIs.
• Support ad-hoc projects and process improvements.
