Alterra Mountain Company is seeking a porter for the winter season at Snowshoe, WV. The role involves transporting housekeeping staff between condos, stocking closets with linens, and assisting with cleaning duties to maintain guest spaces.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Driving: Have a valid Driver’s license and ability to pass the Snowshoe Driving Program.

Responsibilities

• Transport staff: Drive housekeeping staff safely to and from condos, ensuring seat belt use.
• Manage linens: Remove soiled linens and trash from condos and transport to designated areas; prepare soiled linens for pickup and organize clean linens.
• Stock and organize: Replenish housekeeping closets with linens and supplies, and keep them tidy and organized.
• Assist housekeepers: Help with vacuuming, dusting, cleaning bathrooms and kitchens, making beds, and washing windows.
• Vehicle maintenance: Keep the company vehicle clean, fueled, and maintain a log of mileage and maintenance issues.
• Report issues: Inform Maintenance and supervisors of repairs, safety concerns, and inventory issues; handle lost and found items.
• Special projects: Perform additional tasks as assigned; work weekends, holidays, and varied shifts.
