Job summary

Ed Napleton Automotive Group, located at Napleton Auto Park of Urbana, seeks a Porter to keep the lot clean, ready, and presentable, and to transport vehicles and customers as needed. This position is based at Urbana and supports dealership operations with a focus on appearance and logistics.

This role offers hourly pay between $18 and $20, plus medical, dental, vision insurance, a 401(k), paid vacation and sick time, and employee discounts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to handle machinery safely.
• Ability to drive a manual and automatic transmission.
• Valid state driver's license.
• Ability to operate an automobile.
• Ability to use hand and power tools.
• Willingness to undergo a background check and drug screen in accordance with local law/regulations.
• 18+ years of age or older to comply with the company driving policy.

Responsibilities

• Keep vehicle lot neat and orderly per display standards.
• Transport customers and dealership personnel as needed.
• Assist with customer deliveries.
• Ensure vehicles are clean and in good repair on lot and showroom.
• Move vehicles from storage and deliver to storage and other dealerships.
• Assist with weather-related clean up when necessary.
• Building and grounds maintenance as needed.
• Other functions and special projects may be assigned.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

Located at Napleton Auto Park of Urbana, the Porter is responsible for performing a variety of duties as they relate to the upkeep of vehicles: including maintaining cleanliness and readiness in appearance of vehicles and transporting vehicles and customers.

Job Responsibilities:

• Keeping vehicle lot neat and orderly, moving units as directed by the Sales/Service managers and in accordance with dealership display standards
• Transporting customers and dealership personnel, as needed
• Assisting with customer deliveries
• Ensuring all vehicles are clean and in good repair on the lot and showroom
• Picking up vehicles from storage and deliver vehicles to storage and other dealerships
• Assisting with weather related clean up when necessary
• Building and grounds maintenance as needed
• Other functions and special projects may be assigned
• Other duties as assigned by management
