Job summary

PBS Facility Service is seeking a dedicated Porter to help keep our facilities safe, clean, and welcoming. You’ll be responsible for cleaning tasks, directing guests, and assisting with minor maintenance to ensure smooth operations.

The role requires good physical condition, familiarity with cleaning equipment, and the ability to communicate effectively with staff and customers. A reliable, detail‑oriented approach is essential for daily duties and safety compliance.

Qualifications

• 1) Prior work as a Porter, Janitor or Custodian is preferred.
• 2) Strong physical condition and stamina required.
• 3) Basic mechanical skills and ability to operate cleaning equipment.

Responsibilities

• Sweep and mop floors, vacuum carpets.
• Keep building entrances clear of clutter.
• Direct guests to reception or offices as needed.
• Replace bulbs and fix minor maintenance issues.
• Report damages and monitor repairs with technicians.
• Restock cleaning supplies and maintain inventory.
• Follow health, safety and evacuation procedures.

Job description

We are looking for a Porter to serve our facilities.

Ultimately, you’ll ensure our building is safe, clean, and inviting.

Responsibilities

• Sweep and mop floors and vacuum carpets
• Ensure building entrance is always free of clutter
• Direct guests to the reception area or the appropriate office/room
• Fix minor technical issues, like changing bulbs
• Report damages, call technicians and monitor repairs
• Maintain stock of cleaning supplies
• Comply with health and safety regulations
• Follow evacuation rules in case of emergencies

Requirements And Skills

• Previous work experience as a Porter, Janitor or Custodian
• Must Be Vaccinated!!
• Must pass a Drug screening!!
• Fingerprints Must be taken!!
• Immunization Records a MUST!!
• Hands-on experience with industrial cleaning equipment
• Good physical condition, stamina and strength (e.g. to lift heavy equipment and luggage)
• Familiarity with security regulations
• Solid verbal communication skills to interact with cleaning staff, technicians, and customers
• Basic mechanical skills
