Job summary

Legends Global is seeking a Porter to support event operations at our venues. You will deliver, stock, clean, and ensure a steady supply of products, assisting with setup and breakdown for functions as needed.

Key duties include maintaining a safe, tidy kitchen and service areas, transporting items, monitoring supplies, and helping with opening/closing tasks under supervision of the Chef or venue management.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to work all venue events and maintain a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Ability to lift and transport items weighing 10–30 pounds, occasionally 50 pounds.
• Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparations, service standards, guest relations and etiquette preferred.

Responsibilities

• Washes all china, glass, and silverware.
• Cleans all equipment, pots, and pans before, during, and after events.
• Stores all equipment in proper locations.
• Sweeps and mops all floors in kitchen/office areas.
• Maintains a clean and safe working environment.
• Transports food and equipment throughout the venue as needed.
• Monitors cleaning supply stock levels per venue needs.
• Performs routine inventory on a daily basis for all required stock.
• Assists with deliveries and stocking storeroom and side stations.

The Role:

The Porter position is responsible for the delivery, maintaining, stocking, cleaning and ensuring that there is a sufficient supply of products in the venue. Services to include assistance in setting up and/or breaking down functions periodically or as needed.

• Fulfillsthe assigned opening and closing dutiesas assigned by the Chef.
• Performs other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must be able to read, speak and write English in order to communicate with staff and guests
• Ability to work all venue events and maintain a flexible schedule to meet service demand levels, including extended hours, days, nights, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to work in an open aired environment during all climate conditions
• Must be punctual and dependable
• Must maintain personal hygiene and a well-groomed appearance in accordance with company and venue standards
• Must have sufficient mobility to perform assigned production tasks including constant standing, reaching, bending, stooping, wiping, pushing, and pulling for extended periods of time
• Ability to lift and transport items weighing 10-30 pounds, occasionally 50 pounds
• Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparations, service standards, guest relations and etiquette preferred
• Ability to effectively listen and take direction from management
• Ability to work under pressure and multitask in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting
