Job description

The Role

Porter position responsible for delivery, maintenance, stocking, cleaning and ensuring sufficient supply of products in the venue. Services include assistance in setting up and/or breaking down functions periodically or as needed.

Responsibilities

• Wash all china, glass, and silverware.
• Clean all equipment, pots, and pans pre, during, and post‑event.
• Store all equipment in proper locations.
• Sweep and mop all floors in the kitchen/office areas.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
• Practice safe work habits, follow all safety policies, procedures, and regulations, complete company‑wide safety training and any additional job‑specific safety training.
• Transport food and equipment throughout the venue as needed.
• Monitor cleaning supply stock levels per venue needs.
• Ensure that assigned areas are kept clean and orderly.
• Perform and assist with routine inventory on a daily basis of all required stock per area of responsibility.
• Ensure that requisitions are delivered in a timely manner.
• Assist with deliveries and stocking storerooms and side stations.
• Assist members in a timely, efficient and professional manner.
• Fulfill the assigned opening and closing duties as assigned by the Chef.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read, speak and write English.
• Ability to work all venue events and maintain a flexible schedule, including extended hours, days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to work in an open‑aired environment during all climate conditions.
• Must be punctual and dependable.
• Maintain personal hygiene and a well‑groomed appearance in accordance with company and venue standards.
• Must have sufficient mobility to perform assigned production tasks, including constant standing, reaching, bending, stooping, wiping, pushing, and pulling for extended periods.
• Ability to lift and transport items weighing 10-30 pounds, occasionally 50 pounds.
• Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparations, service standards, guest relations and etiquette preferred.
• Ability to effectively listen and take direction from management.
• Ability to work under pressure and multitask in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented setting.
• Pay rate $21-$22 per hour.
