Planned Companies – Porter – Job Description

Schedule: Monday - Friday 7am to 3pm

Location: Jersey City, NJ

Pay Rate: $17.50

Summary

Residential and commercial property owners recognize the importance of janitors in maintaining health and safety. Planned Companies Building Services (PBS) seeks friendly and detail-oriented Janitors and Custodians to clean common areas and bathrooms.

Your role is to ensure tenants, guests, and vendors have a clean, healthy, and safe environment. Politeness, respect, thoroughness, and observance of details are essential for providing excellent service.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

• Vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping floors.
• Stripping, buffing, and waxing floors.
• Dusting ceilings, light fixtures, countertops, and furniture.
• Sanitizing toilets, sinks, and fixtures in bathrooms and kitchens.
• Emptying trash cans and washing windows.
• Ordering supplies, reporting breakages, and repairs.
• Assisting with projects and other duties as needed.

Requirements:

• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds or more.
• Experience with cleaning products and equipment.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Strong communication and report-writing skills.
• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
