Job summary

Madison Communities is seeking a Community Porter/Housekeeper to keep apartments ready and common areas inviting. You’ll prepare new apartments, maintain clubhouses, gyms, breezeways, and lounges, handle light maintenance, and ensure supplies are stocked. Must be 18+, high school diploma, dependable team player with attention to detail.

Travel between local properties is required. We offer competitive hourly pay, ongoing training, and a comprehensive benefits package including health coverage

• Experience with carpet and upholstery cleaning.
• Willing to travel between local properties.

Responsibilities

• Preparing apartments for new residents with care and attention.
• Keeping clubhouses, gyms, breezeways, and lounges sparkling and welcoming.
• Handling light maintenance tasks (painting, filter changes, replacing light bulbs).
• Operating cleaning equipment and maintaining supplies.
• Reporting and helping address minor repair needs.

Community Porter/Housekeeper
Location: Madison Shores | Full-Time | $16-$18/hour

What You'll Do

As a key part of our team, you’ll be responsible for keeping the community in tip-top shape, from preparing new apartments to maintaining shared spaces. Your day-to-day includes:

Preparing apartments for new residents with care and attention

Keeping community areas—like clubhouses, gyms, breezeways, and lounges—sparkling and welcoming

Handling light maintenance tasks (painting, filter changes, replacing light bulbs)

Operating cleaning equipment and maintaining supplies

Reporting and helping address minor repair needs

You’ll be the heart of our community—helping make it a place people are proud to call home.
