Job summary

Berger Communities in Lancaster, PA is seeking a dependable Porter for 202 Queen Apartments to keep the community clean and welcoming. You will maintain common areas, exterior spaces, and assist with turnover cleaning as needed.

The role is full-time, Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–4:00 PM, with pay of $15–$16 per hour and a benefits package starting after 30 days. Join a team-focused environment with growth opportunities and a strong Resident experience focus.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain common areas, including hallways, lobbies, stairways, leasing offices, laundry rooms, and other shared spaces
• Keep building entrances, sidewalks, parking areas, and grounds clean and free of debris
• Sweep, scrub, mop, and pressure wash community walkways and common areas
• Collect and properly dispose of trash and recycling throughout the property
• Clean windows, doors, walls, and other interior and exterior surfaces
• Assist with apartment turnover cleaning and move-in preparation as needed
• Replace light bulbs and assist with other light maintenance tasks
• Participate in seasonal property upkeep, including snow removal and salting walkways
• Use cleaning tools, equipment, and chemicals safely
• Report property damage, safety concerns, or maintenance issues to the Service Manager
• Assist the maintenance team with property upkeep and other tasks as needed
