Job summary

Canvas Valley Forge is seeking a dependable Porter to keep common areas clean, safe, and welcoming for residents and guests. You will support light deliveries, furniture setup, and event prep while maintaining a courteous, resident-focused approach.

The role emphasizes teamwork, safety, and timely communication with staff. Prior porter/housekeeping experience is preferred, and training is provided where needed.

Responsibilities

• Respond courteously to resident and team requests and maintain organized supplies.

As an important member of our community team, you'll help keep shared spaces looking their best while providing friendly, helpful service to residents, visitors, and fellow team members.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the cleanliness, appearance, and overall presentation of community common areas, entrances, hallways, amenities, and other shared spaces.
• Perform routine porter duties, including trash and recycling removal and maintaining clean, orderly surroundings.
• Monitor the community for maintenance concerns, safety hazards, spills, or conditions that could impact residents, visitors, or team members, and report them promptly.
• Assist with light moving, deliveries, furniture setup, and other community needs as directed.
• Help prepare common areas and spaces for resident activities, events, and special occasions.
• Respond courteously and promptly to resident and team member requests.
• Maintain an organized supply area and notify management when supplies or equipment need replenishment.
• Follow all safety, sanitation, and infection-control procedures.
• Help create a clean, comfortable, and welcoming environment that residents are proud to call home.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
