Job summary

Corvias Corporate Services, LLC is seeking a Porter/Maintenance staff member to efficiently clean and maintain interior and exterior spaces at our properties. You will handle basic building upkeep, waste disposal, and interact with residents to ensure high-quality service.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, English proficiency, and own basic tools. A valid driver’s license is also required. This role offers growth within a supportive benefits-focused environment.

Responsibilities

• Collect trash, transport waste, and ensure proper disposal of chemicals.
• Operate company vehicle as required.
• Participate in staff meetings and share improvement ideas.

How You’ll Contribute to the Team

The porter is responsible for efficiently performing all general cleaning, basic maintenance, trash and debris pickup of the interior and exterior of single and multifamily homes, community centers and common areas to ensure a professional, attractive appearance.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Perform various laborer duties, such as cleaning, grounds keeping, painting, and basic building maintenance, using powered equipment as needed, in assigned location(s).
• Ensure that assigned spaces are maintained according to health and safety standards, company operating procedures, and company schedules.
• Pick up trash and debris; transport waste, trash, and recyclables to appropriate disposal areas; ensure the proper disposal of chemical products.
• Operate company vehicle, as required.
• Participate in staff meetings and share observations and ideas that may lead to improved building and grounds cleaning and maintenance.
• Protect, maintain, and disinfect work equipment, tools, and supplies.
• Adhere to safety rules; report safety hazards and unusual occurrences; participate in safety meetings and trainings.
• Maintain inventory and equipment records; keep storage areas and carts well-stocked, clean, and tidy.
• Interact with residents in a professional and friendly manner; provide high quality customer service.
• Other duties as assigned.

Role Specific Requirements:

• High school education, GED, or equivalent preferred.
• Working knowledge of basic maintenance, types and uses of cleaning products, and types and uses of powered equipment preferred.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English as to follow oral and written instructions, maintain records, document activities, and communicate with colleagues and residents.
• Required to provide and maintain own basic hand and power tools related to work requirements.
• Valid driver’s license required.
