Job summary

Corvias Corporate Services, LLC is seeking a dedicated porter to perform general cleaning, basic maintenance, and grounds work across residential locations. You will help keep interiors and exteriors polished, safe, and welcoming for residents and staff.

The role requires basic tools and a valid driver’s license, with responsibilities including waste disposal, equipment upkeep, and adherence to safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school education, GED, or equivalent preferred.
• Basic maintenance and cleaning product knowledge preferred.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English to follow instructions and communicate with colleagues and residents.
• Must provide and maintain own basic hand and power tools related to work requirements.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Perform general cleaning, grounds keeping, painting, and basic building maintenance using powered equipment as needed.
• Maintain spaces according to health and safety standards and company procedures.
• Transport waste and recyclables to disposal areas and ensure proper disposal of chemicals.
• Operate company vehicle as required.
• Attend staff meetings and share observations to improve cleaning and maintenance.

How You’ll Contribute to the Team

The porter is responsible for efficiently performing all general cleaning, basic maintenance, trash and debris pickup of the interior and exterior of single and multifamily homes, community centers and common areas to ensure a professional, attractive appearance.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Perform various laborer duties, such as cleaning, grounds keeping, painting, and basic building maintenance, using powered equipment as needed, in assigned location(s).
• Ensure that assigned spaces are maintained according to health and safety standards, company operating procedures, and company schedules.
• Pick up trash and debris; transport waste, trash, and recyclables to appropriate disposal areas; ensure the proper disposal of chemical products.
• Operate company vehicle, as required.
• Participate in staff meetings and share observations and ideas that may lead to improved building and grounds cleaning and maintenance.
• Protect, maintain, and disinfect work equipment, tools, and supplies.
• Adhere to safety rules; report safety hazards and unusual occurrences; participate in safety meetings and trainings.
• Maintain inventory and equipment records; keep storage areas and carts well-stocked, clean, and tidy.
• Interact with residents in a professional and friendly manner; provide high quality customer service.
• Other duties as assigned.

Role Specific Requirements:

• High school education, GED, or equivalent preferred.
• Working knowledge of basic maintenance, types and uses of cleaning products, and types and uses of powered equipment preferred.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English as to follow oral and written instructions, maintain records, document activities, and communicate with colleagues and residents.
• Required to provide and maintain own basic hand and power tools related to work requirements.
• Valid driver’s license required.
