Job summary

HELP USA in Bronx, NY is seeking a Porter to support building maintenance across a program site. You will perform cleaning, painting, trash removal, landscaping, and basic upkeep to keep spaces safe and welcoming.

The ideal candidate has porter or janitorial experience, basic knowledge of electrical wiring, boiler and plumbing, and the ability to work independently when supervision is not present. High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Qualifications

• Porter or janitorial experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of electrical wiring, boiler mechanics, and plumbing is a plus.
• Organizational skills to enable efficient use of time and the ability to work effectively if the supervisor is not present.
• Must be able to operate small machinery, power tools, and hand tools.
• Computer literacy with Microsoft applications is a plus.
• Valid US Driver’s license is a plus.
• High School Diploma or equivalent OR equivalent experience and skills.

Responsibilities
