Job Description

Principal Duties

• Assist with the opening and closing of JCC buildings while upholding safety precautions throughout shift.
• Prepare room setups and breakdowns as outlined in the daily schedule.
• Represent the J event team, assisting before, during, and after events, and reporting to supervisor as Facility Contact when needed.
• Respond to facility, guest, and staff requests with understanding and care.
• Manage daily Meals on Wheels cooler collection and cleaning, mail drop-off, and large package deliveries.

Other Duties

• Share shift information with coworkers and superiors as needed.
• Assist other departments when necessary and as directed by supervisor.
• Execute work orders and projects assigned.
• Use J vehicles for pickup or deliveries.

Qualifications

• Able to lift 50 pounds.
• Good verbal and written communication skills; fluent in English; additional languages a plus.
• Able to provide accurate and detailed information to guests, co-workers, and management.
• Superior customer service skills.
• Work independently without supervision.
• Experience with event setups and breakdowns is a plus.
• Knowledge of AV, Microsoft Office, Salesforce, BRIVO is a plus.
• Capable of minimal maintenance or assembly with hand or power tools is a plus.
• Flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
