Job summary

Avenue5 Residential is hiring a Porter to maintain grounds, amenities, and exteriors across assigned properties. You will manage tasks from cleaning and debris removal to preparing market-ready units and assisting during emergencies, all while delivering superior resident service.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, English proficiency, and a strong emphasis on safety, confidentiality, and professional presentation. Valid driver’s license and insurance are required.

Responsibilities

• Remove trash and debris from office areas and property perimeter daily.
• Assist in preparing market-ready units.
• Pressure wash exterior buildings, sidewalks, etc.
• Assist with property emergencies (snow removal, inclement weather, fires, floods).
• Clean available apartments and model homes and common areas as directed.
• Report maintenance and life-safety issues promptly.
• Promote customer satisfaction by maintaining cleanliness and curb appeal.
• Interact courteously with current and potential residents.
• Preserve resident confidentiality.
• Foster positive relationships with residents and other properties.

About the porter position:

We’re looking for a talented porter who will be responsible for the meticulous upkeep of the grounds, amenities, building exteriors, leasing office, tour path, parking lots and other areas of the assigned property, with maximization of the property’s marketing appeal with the highest level of customer satisfaction in mind.

• Remove trash and other debris from office areas and property perimeter on a daily basis.
• Assist in the preparation of market ready units.

• Promote customer satisfaction by maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and curb appeal, and interact courteously and professionally with current and potential residents always.
• Preserve and respect applicant and resident confidentiality.
• Foster a positive, active and collaborative relationship with residents, other properties and associated agencies.
• Clearly and immediately report any maintenance and/or life safety issues identified while performing regular assigned duties.
• Promote customer satisfaction by maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and curb appeal, and interact courteously and professionally with current and potential residents at all times.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
