Job summary

Ohio Cat is seeking a Porter to clean and prep new and used vehicles for display and delivery. The role runs Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm, and involves detailing interiors, washing and buffing trucks, and repainting as needed.

You’ll coordinate with team members and report any damages to management. A high school diploma, valid driver’s license, and prior experience are required to ensure a professional customer experience and high shop standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and CDL Class A or the ability to obtain one within six months of hire.
• 1–3 years of relevant experience required.
• Must provide a professional and positive atmosphere for customers and ensure positive customer relations.
• Must be detail-oriented with strong listening skills and the ability to follow directions.

Schedule: 8:00am - 5:00pm, Monday - Friday

Essential Functions And Responsibilities

• Cleans, details, and vacuums interior of vehicles.
• Washes, waxes, and buffs trucks.
• Maintains the proper function of all service tools and equipment.
• Repaints trucks as needed.
• Coordinates work with team members.
• Nates any damages or items in need of repair to management.
• Maintains cleanliness in the detail bay, and maintains shop cleanliness through disposing of trash, sweeping, etc.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.

Minimum Skills And Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Must have a valid driver’s license, and a current CDL Class A or the ability to obtain one within six months of hire.
• One to three years of relevant experience is required.
• Must be able to provide a professional and positive atmosphere for customers and ensure positive and effective customer relations.
• Must be detail-oriented and possess strong listening skills and the ability to follow directions.

Physical Requirements

The physical requirements of this position include lifting/carrying up to 40 lbs. 50lbs of pulling. Standing/Sitting Up and down stairs, standing, sitting, and climbing into machines. Dexterity Normal. Repetitive Motions Frequent movement requiring hands, wrists, and fingers. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet in office settings and moderate to loud in other situations, with both constant and sudden loud noises possible.
