DSFS Ltd are looking to recruit the right candidate into the role of a Porter on a 0.00 hour per week contract, to work within the portering department predominantly based in the new Urgent Emergency Care Department based at the Chesterfield Royal Hospital.
The duties include conducting a wide variety of portering tasks, you will be expected to work a shift pattern covering 24 hours a day / 7 days a week including weekends.

1. The escorting of patients and visitors.
2. The transportation of patients by appropriate means.
3. Duties in connection with the transference of deceased persons, i.e. transfers to the mortuary and preparation of viewings.
4. The collection and disposal of refuse, including special waste and re-cycling.
5. Cleaning of domestic waste equipment and storage areas.
6. Collection of bagged soiled linen.
7. The collection and / or distribution of miscellaneous items, i.e. stores, medical gases, laundry, medical notes.
8. The collection and delivery of blood products from Pathology to the wards.
9. Attend cardiac arrests with initial responsibility for delivering the second line drug box, and respond to medical staff requests.
10. Undertake movement of furniture and facilitate office relocations for both on and off site areas.
11. Take receipt of customer requests for Portering assistance and log all tasks on the current recording system.
12. Any other duties which may be allocated from time to time, as need demands.
