Job summary

C&S Wholesale Grocers in Hatfield, MA is seeking a 2nd shift custodian/janitor to keep our distribution center clean and safe. Earn $19.00 per hour; shifts run Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Friday 4pm–2am.

You will perform janitorial duties across the warehouse and offices, manage floors, restrooms, break areas, and assist with safe lifting and material handling. Training provided; benefits from day one.

Qualifications

• Attendance required and GED/HS diploma noted.
• General Equivalency Diploma (GED) - General Studies required.
• High School Diploma (General Studies) required.

Responsibilities

• Provide and maintain a clean and safe work environment as custodian/janitor.
• Clean the warehouse, office space, break areas, windows and restrooms.
• Maintain housekeeping by sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, buffing and waxing floors.
• Occasionally pull product from pick slots using an electric pallet jack for cleaning.
• Tend to spills including damaged product, oil, grease, etc.
• Collect plastic wrap, shredded paper, and empty boxes for disposal.
• Follow all material handling equipment safe operating procedures.
• Occasional safe lifting of varying case weight, shape, and height levels.

Position Overview

These critical roles help to support our prideful work environment and the delivery of high quality product to our customers.

Earn $19.00 per hour

Shift - 2nd Sunday , Monday , Tuesday, Friday 4pm - 2am

Location - 95 North Hatfield Road, Hatfield , MA

You will contribute by:

• Providing and maintaining a clean and safe work environment by acting as a custodian / janitor
• Performing janitorial duties such as cleaning the entire warehouse, including office space, employee break areas, windows and restrooms
• Maintaining good housekeeping by sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, buffing and waxing floors
• Occasionally pulling product out of pick slots using an electric pallet jack to clean with a scrubber and returning product
• Tending to spills including damaged product, oil, grease, etc.
• Collecting plastic wrap, shredded paper, and empty boxes to be disposed of properly
• Following all material handling equipment safe operating procedures
• Occasional safe lifting of varying case weight, shape, and height levels
• Having the ability and willingness to follow all material handling equipment safe operating procedures
