Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certifications or training in portable fire extinguishers is preferred.
• Relevant experience in inspecting and maintaining portable fire extinguishers.
• Knowledge of local fire codes, regulations, and safety standards.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

• Customer service: Attend to incoming portable fire extinguisher customers.
• Inspection and Testing: Perform routine inspections and tests to ensure proper functioning; identify and rectify issues.
• Troubleshooting: Diagnose and fix problems in extinguishers brought into the shop.
• Compliance: Ensure extinguishers comply with fire codes and safety standards.
• Documentation: Maintain records of inspections, tests, and repairs; generate reports as needed.
• Customer Communication: Explain status, address concerns, and provide recommendations to clients.
