Job summary

Pye-Barker Fire & Safety, LLC is seeking a field technician to oversee the operation and maintenance of portable fire devices. You will inspect, test, and service extinguishers in commercial and residential settings, ensuring compliance with NFPA codes and reporting findings accurately.

The role requires a high school diploma (or equivalent), reliable transportation, and flexibility for evenings or out-of-town assignments.

Qualifications

• Troubleshooting skills.
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team and independently.
• Clean driving record and reliable transportation to/from office or job site.
• Flexibility with scheduling including evenings, weekends, and out-of-town assignments.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, test, and perform fire extinguisher checks in accordance with fire code.
• Install or service fire extinguishers in commercial and residential buildings.
• Test and repair extinguishers already in place.
• Complete detailed inspection reports and document issues.
• Maintain and inspect the truck and related equipment; file repair requests as needed.
• Operate warehouse equipment to load/unload the truck safely.
• Respond to emergency service calls and maintain a clean workspace.
