Job summary

APTIM Corp. in Mobile, AL (or Charleston, SC) seeks a Port Services Project Engineer to lead structural and mechanical inspection, analysis and design for cranes, piers and other port infrastructure.

You’ll work with a multidisciplinary team to develop repair, retrofit and new design solutions and deliver practical, constructible results for coastal clients. The role blends office-based analysis with field activities across the Southeast, with moderate travel and opportunities to mentor junior

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Structural or Mechanical Engineering is required.
• P.E. license preferred or ability to obtain within 12 months.
• 10+ years of progressive structural or mechanical engineering experience.

Responsibilities

• Report to Port Services Project Director and support port projects across the Southeast.
• Perform structural/mechanical inspections of cranes and waterfront structures to assess condition and deficiencies.
• Develop repair/retrofit/new design drawings and calculations for steel and concrete structures.
