Job summary

Moran Towing Corporation in Port Arthur LNG is seeking a Port Engineer to keep the fleet operational and reliable. This in-person role reports to the General Manager and focuses on maintenance, regulatory compliance, and support for PALNG operations.

You will coordinate vessel repairs, oversee preventive maintenance, and ensure readiness across tugboats and shoreside assets, with travel as needed and off-hours availability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Marine Engineering or equivalent; 5+ years in licensed marine engineering preferred.
• Current USCG engineering license or equivalent credentials.
• TWIC and USCG physical requirements; valid driver's license.
• Experience with marine diesel propulsion, electrical, hydraulic, and related vessel systems.
• Knowledge of USCG regulations, ABS/class requirements, safety management systems.

Responsibilities

• Maintain vessel readiness and comply with preventive maintenance plans.
• Provide shoreside engineering support to vessel Captains and Engineers.
• Coordinate repairs, troubleshooting, and vendor activities to minimize downtime.
• Assist in drydock planning, budgeting, and technical information management.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and maintain engineering records.
