Job summary

JBS Live Pork, LLC is seeking a Field Manager to lead a designated group of contract pork producers within a 30 mile radius of Manchester, IA. You will troubleshoot production issues, manage relationships, and document on-farm reports to improve profitability.

Travel approximately 15% to farms in Central and East Central Iowa. Ideal candidates hold a BS/BA in Agriculture or equivalent experience, with strong MS Office skills, problem solving, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• BS/BA degree in Agriculture or related field, or 5 years' equivalent experience in pork production.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).
• Able to travel 15% to farms in Central Iowa.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Coaching, training, and developing new farm managers.
• Animal welfare and environmental compliance by offering solutions.
• Medication/vet ordering.
• Bio-security compliance and action planning.
• Assists in controlling costs associated with feed, supplies, and labor.
• Maintains accurate number integrity for record keeping.
• Coordinates and oversees completion of special projects.
• Makes recommendations for operational improvements.
• Any other duties assigned by the Production Manager.
